We all know that the reducer of the power head is one of the key maintenance parts of the rotary drilling rig in the use process, and the reducer has the most direct impact on the performance of the host machine, so we should reasonably maintain and repair it in the use process. Today, Xiao Bian will share with you how to repair and maintain the reducer of the power head of the rotary excavator.

1. Fault judgment and elimination

(1) The input and output ends of the reducer cannot rotate

In this case, there are two maintenance methods: one is to reverse the motor or motor at the input end to see if it is feasible, and repair or replace it as appropriate; The second is to disassemble and inspect the reducer (the internal bearing is damaged and cannot operate) and replace the corresponding parts.

(2) The noise and vibration of reducer are obviously higher than the normal value

The reasons may be that the connecting bolts are loose or the effective positioning of the reducer is invalid, or the lubricating oil temperature is too high and the oil is too dirty.

(3) The input end of the reducer rotates while the output end does not, or the rotation speed is obviously lower than the normal value

The main reason for this is that there is something wrong with the internal transmission components of the reducer, most of which are broken gears or broken shafts. This fault can only be solved by disassembling and inspecting the reducer and replacing the corresponding parts.

2. Maintenance points

(1) Air vent

The upper part of the reducer is provided with an air vent to ensure the balance of internal and external pressure of the reducer during operation. Therefore, the air vent of the reducer must be kept unblocked and no obstacles shall be set around. When there is a lot of sand and dust in the surrounding environment, it should be covered with gauze or replaced with an air filter with good performance. When the air vent is blocked, the internal pressure of the reducer will increase, and the lubricating oil will leak from the oil seal at the input or output end, causing the oil level to drop and the surrounding environment to be polluted.

(2) Lubrication oil level

As the internal gear, bearing and other components of the reducer rotate at a high speed during operation, all moving components must be lubricated sufficiently and cleanly during movement, otherwise all transmission components will fail prematurely, resulting in system paralysis. Pay attention to the oil level of the reducer and the cleanness of the lubricating oil at all times during use. When the oil level is lower than the specified value, it shall be replenished immediately. If the lubricating oil is too dirty, it shall be replaced in time.

(3) Connecting bolt

When the reducer is working, the output torque is large, and it is under the impact and vibration environment for a long time. The connecting bolts of the reducer and the connecting bolts of the reducer and the peripheral system are easy to loosen. Therefore, the fastening of each connecting bolt shall be checked in time (elastic pad shall be added at the connecting bolt or other reliable anti loosening measures shall be taken).

(4) Temperature of lubricating oil

The oil temperature of the reducer will be very high in hot summer or when the continuous output power is large. When the temperature of ordinary lubricating oil exceeds 100 ℃, its lubricating performance and oil film quality will be significantly reduced, which will lead to increased wear of internal gears and bearings of the reducer, early pitting of gears, and affect the service life. At this time, it can be solved by selecting high-grade lubricating oil and shortening the oil change period, or by adding external oil pipes at the two screw plugs to forcibly circulate and cool the lubricating oil.
